Adult star rips apart Trump’s Lawyer Michael Cohen whom she had blamed for HUSH money
Adult actress Stormy Daniels spoke against President Trump’s lawyer on Monday at a federal court hearing on the legal battle between her and president’s lawyer.
She claimed that Mr. Cohene has long played by a “different set of rules, or should we say no rules at all.”
“For years, Mr. Cohen has acted like he is above the law,” Daniels said outside a lower Manhattan U.S. District Federal Courthouse.
Stephanie Clifford whose stage name is ‘Stormy Daniels’ is suing Cohen and President Trump to void an NDA that is barring her from discussing her alleged sexual relationship with Donald Trump.
Her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, told that Daniels attended the court hearing to ensure that the documents which were seized in the raid on Cohen’s office remain untampered or undestroyed.
He is also the one who negotiated the $130,000 hush money that was given to the adult actress few weeks before the presidential elections that put Trump in office.
He called Cohen “radioactive” and warned, “anybody associated with him in the last 20 to 30 years should be very, very concerned.”
The Judge Kimba Wood gave a massive blow when she rejected the application of the lawyers for Trump and Cohen to take first look at the seized material in a raid.
Both President Trump and Cohen claimed that the seized material is protected by attorney-client privilege.
The prosecuting attorney claimed that Cohen is using delaying tactics as Cohen made a proposal for a separate judge to review the material that was taken in the raid.
“My interest is in getting this moving speedily and efficiently,” Wood said at the hearing.
Still, she said a special master “might have a role here,” though she did not decide on whether or not to appoint one at the Monday hearing. Wood also held off on appointing a so-called taint team — a separate team of federal lawyers who would review the materials — in the case, though she appeared more amenable to the option.
“I have faith in the Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney’s Office. Their integrity is unimpeachable,” she said. “I think that a taint team is a viable option.”
