Depressed teen asks hairdresser to shave her head, but hairdresser spends 58 hours to fix things
Depression takes it toll and nothing in the world seems interesting. The reason to laugh at things seem to fade away and urge to do the daily chores looks like a big ordeal.
A teenager visited a hairdresser and asked her to shave her head. It happened in Waterloo where Kaylay Olsson is a 20-year-old student hairdresser. The hairdresser took it upon herself to dress the girl in the best way possible. She refused to shave her head and went with the option of fixing it up. The girl had come to her salon with densely tangled and matted hair.
Today I had one of the hardest experiences – I had a 16-year-girl come in who has been dealing with severe depression for a few years now, wrote Ms Olsson on Facebook
The teen had gotten to the point where she didn’t feel worthy enough to comb her hair and do something for her own self.
The teenager had a school photograph arranged and she couldn’t bear the pain of combing her hair. She wanted a better photograph of her in the school rather than getting photographed with tangled and matted hair.
Ms Olsson and her colleague Mariah Wenger took the hard task like a challenge. Both of these are beauty therapy students.
The viral post received around 60k comments. Ms Ollson wanted to prove a point to the world that the depression is a real thing. The girl thought herself to be worthless of having a good hairstyle with combed hair. The parents, we don’t know yet what they were doing when she wasn’t taking care of herself.
Above you can see the girl before having the haircut. After Ms Olsson treatment this is what came after:
and here is the side pose of the girl, she looks pretty, no?
and here is the post which Kayley Olsson made, all thanks to her for helping out the girl.
Kayley Olsson is even receiving flowers from all over the world for the good deed which she has done with the teen. One good act can save humanity!
